Nagoya International Airport is closeby with direct flights to most of the world's major hubs. Domestic transport links are superb. The JR Tokaido line (main trunk route between Tokyo and Osaka) and the Tomei Expressway (Tokyo-Kyoto-Osaka) run straight through the city (both within 10 minutes of Frontia's offices). The Shinkansen (bullet train) is easy to access - it is possible to schedule morning meetings with clients in Tokyo, Shizuoka, Kyoto or Osaka and travel quickly and easily. Fast internet connectivity is readily accessible, and Aichi is a high tech industrial center - finding highly skilled staff is never a problem.
Compared to the major centers, Okazaki offers low cost office space. IT businesses operating from cities such as Okazaki tend to have cost advantages over Tokyo or Osaka based firms. It is not just the overhead, the generally lower apartment rents and lower general cost of living means that a startup business doesn't need to pay as much to attract good developers and support staff and provide a higher quality of life than that experienced by Tokyo or Osaka residents.
